This new one-piece single bit axe guard will help protect your axe blades and keep them sharp longer. This quality guard from Weaver is made of natural top grain steer hide leather that's lock stitched and riveted. Features a 5/8" x 16" long strap with eight hole adjustments that buckles around axe handle. Fits blade edges up to 5-3/8" long and comes with nickel plated hardware. AXE NOT INCLUDED.

Q.	I just received my Council axe today from you folks. It's just the one I wanted and needed. It's the 35MD26 3.5 lbs. Miners axe. Will this axe guard fit my new axe?
A.	It should fit just fine. This sheath will fit axe heads up to 5-3/8". Your best bet (this is what we do in house anyway) is to measure your head and see if it will fit.

Ax guard

I was glad to find a guard/sheath big enough for my felling ax. Too bad it's not made to be carried on a belt. It came unoiled of course, so I use food grade mineral oil which is not attacked by molds, etc.
