There is no tool available. They are commonly changed in the field by wedging the top of the head on any surface that keeps it from slipping and pulling the handle downward.

Traditionally used to clear trails, like a machete, but it will go through much larger branches with the extra weight of the head.

The manufacturers might not agree, but the major difference is the who makes them. Otherwise they are pretty much the same animal. Item 3022 we have sold for many years and and has a proven track record. The 82037 was only introduced recently, but Haglof has always made high quality products.

I have never used any like this. I use mine for all kinds of applications, such as limbing felled trees, and clearing brush. Simply put the best axe that I have ever used.
