Benchmark 2nd Skin 5 oz. Undershirt

Benchmark sets the standard in flame resistant clothing. This "2nd Skin" shirt is intended to be worn under other flame resistant garments. Stretch fit with a tagless label system for true to the skin wearability. For you muscle men it offers large arm openings. Multiple layers of flame resistant material will trap insulating air and offer a greater thermal resistance. Tests show that a layer of air between two flame resistant fabrics can add over 5 cal/cm2 to the systems overall protective value. All this in a lightweight soft knit fabric that is comfortable and safe to wear against your skin. HRC 1• and ATPV = 5 cal/cm.

Compliant and tested to the following standards: NFPA 70e, OSHA 1910, ASTM 1506, ASTM 1959

Care
Machine wash warm (60° C or 140°F with like colors. Soft powder or liquid detergent only. Do not use starch or lye based soaps. Avoid softeners.
Do NOT USE Chlorine Bleach or hydrogen peroxide bleach.
Industrial and home laundering ok.
Tumble dry low and remove promptly.
Use low iron and DO NOT STEAM.
Dry clean safe.

Improper care for Benchmark FR garments can decrease and possibly negate the flame resistant characteristics. To maintain the protective properties of Benchmark FR clothing, please follow our simple laundering instructions. For optimum performance wash your Benchmark FR garment at least once every six months, regardless of use. Extra warmth plus in compliance

As a past electrical lineman and now as a pipeliner this what I have been looking for. Perfect for under your arc flash or your FR clothing. It brings you up to the nfpa70e compliance and other requirements with out the bulky coats/jackets. Our company agrees this is what we all should be issued. So hopefully the company will pass this on to us as part of our PPE. The warmth is excellent, the best I have had in a undergarment. No sewn on tags which makes it more comfortable. By the way I tested this in a -36 wind chill temps overnight outside callout.
