Introduced by Steve Backus, at the Crab Pot restaurant, where we see many examples of Pat's fish carvings. After viewing this DVD I have to say it was very informative, showed alot of little inovative ways to make a thin slab of wood look like it was in motion, Pat McVay does a very professional presentation and gives lots of safety tips as he goes along, the use of all the different tools he uses is explained. Another thing about him as a teacher , he is common as an old shoe, he does not make one feel that what he is showing us is beyond the viewers capability, Right away that gives one confidence and a desire to get out there and make a whole school of fish. Peter Wiants filming abilities are top notch, no camera shake, no jumping from one scene to another that makes a viewer dizzy, everyone of his productions are top notch and I know cause I own most of everyone he has produced. This DVD will fill a gap in a newbies abililties plus is great for an advanced carver.
