This new, rapidly biodegradable bar and chain oil is one of our fastest growing products. Motion Lotion biodegradable bar oil has excellent lubricating properties, often reducing consumption of oil by 50% when compared to petroleum based oil. Designed for high speed chain saws where extreme pressure and temperatures exist, its excellent lubricating properties extend chain life. Motion Lotion biodegradable bar oil can significantly reduce operator health hazards associated with the use of mineral oil, such as skin, eye and lung irritations. Small spills of this bar oil on the forest floor will be rapidly biodegraded by naturally occurring soil organisms when exposed to air. Made primarily from renewable Canola oil. Not for cooking or human consumption. Comes in a handy, easy carrying 1-gallon container.

Q.	Does this bio oil have stabilizers to prevent the oil from breaking down in the container or in the saw which could cause oil pump failure?
A.	It's bacteria that causes this oil to breakdown. Unless you introduce bacteria to the bottle or your saw, the oil will stay staible.

While this oil works fine and I assume its good for the environment, my only complaint and its a minor one is that I find that it tends to precipitate waxy clumps at the bottom of the bottle.....now, I leave my oil outside all winter down to -10F...that may have something to do with it, but I find I have to strain the last couple of inches of oil out of the bottle to avoid clogging the saw.

Excellent product

I've been using this oil for several months now, and have noticed that I can turn the oiler on my saw down to about 1/3 of what it used to run and still maintain normal temperature on the bar. I have seen ZERO smoke, even after an hour of heavy use with a chain that was overdue for a sharpening. I've used this oil in conditions ranging from 10 to 80 degrees, and it works greath throughout the range. It's also nice to no longer be pouring quarts of toxic oil via my chainsaw throughout the forest.

Great product

More expensive than other bio chain bar oils, but definitely worth it. I tried the Green Earth product and it caused extreme corrosion (rust colored epoxy) on my chains to the point where I had to scrap 3 new chains. Two saws with the Green Earth product developed a rusty/concrete-solid corrosion on their chains within a few weeks of sitting on a shelf whereas a saw still running on the Motion Lotion Bio in it, sitting right next to the other saws, still had a smooth running, rust-free chain... like you would expect. I know it sounds strange, but I don't know what else it could be. Saws are kept dry in a shed, although I am in humid NC. Going back to the Motion Lotion Bio now. Worked great for 2 years of cross cutting and chainsaw milling... with no chain corrosion. I run it in my Husky 3120XP with a 42" bar on an Alaskan mill and I get little to no smoke. Excellent product and you don't have to worry about the gallons of petrol you'd otherwise be dumping on your property.
