Last week a customer asked us via our facebook page what our thoughts were on the Oregon Powersharp. Bluntly put, he asked "So does it really work?" Well, I talked to Nik Bailey about this because he spent quite a bit of time testing the system at the Bailey tree farm in Northern California. Nik gave me a bunch of great information that I then dutifully posted to facebook. After I was done, I thought, "Gee, it sure would be a whole heck of a lot easier if I just sat Nik down and made a quick video with him on the topic." So, here you go. I took this on my Android phone, so the audio quality is just "okay," but if you're considering giving the Oregon Powersharp a try, Nik has some good information for you. Just click PLAY!
You can also check out Oregon's own Powersharp video and my previous blog post on the topic, here.

There has been a lot of marketing build-up and much anticipation regarding Oregon's new PowerSharp saw chain and sharpening system. Suffice it to say that we're excited about this new product, but at the same time we're anxious for a bit of feedback from our customers. We've been told by Oregon that PowerSharp will be available to ship in early September. If you decide to give it a shot, we'd be very interested in hearing your thoughts after you've had a chance to use the system for awhile. Check out the video below and maybe you'll decide it's worth a few bucks to see if PowerSharp can successfully replace hand-filing or sharpening your chain loops with a grinder.
