Nik Bailey Discusses the Pros and Cons of the Oregon Powersharp Chainsaw Cutting System

by dotcompost 8. July 2011 01:19

Last week a customer asked us via our facebook page what our thoughts were on the Oregon Powersharp. Bluntly put, he asked "So does it really work?" Well, I talked to Nik Bailey about this because he spent quite a bit of time testing the system at the Bailey tree farm in Northern California. Nik gave me a bunch of great information that I then dutifully posted to facebook. After I was done, I thought, "Gee, it sure would be a whole heck of a lot easier if I just sat Nik down and made a quick video with him on the topic." So, here you go. I took this on my Android phone, so the audio quality is just "okay," but if you're considering giving the Oregon Powersharp a try, Nik has some good information for you. Just click PLAY!

You can also check out Oregon's own Powersharp video and my previous blog post on the topic, here.

Makita Rebate Madness!

by dotcompost 20. February 2010 00:56

We've partnered with Makita for the rest of February and the month of March to offer some incredible incentives on their line of outdoor power equipment. Thanks to a special deal we've put together with Makita we're offering an additional "instant" manufacturer rebate of $20-$30 off every Makita chainsaw, trimmer and blower that we sell. The rebates are instant and marked off our already low everyday prices. There's no forms to fill out or send in, just drop the product into your cart or give us a call toll-free at 1-800-322-4539. You'll want to hurry though, because these rebate prices are limited to the stock we have on hand. These prices really are incredible. For example, you can get the 5-star rated, 64cc DCS6401 for only $469.95! You'll be hard pressed to find a price this low on a new 6401 anywhere else. The specials aren't limited to chainsaws, though. You'll save on their trimmers, brushcutters and blowers, too. Best of all, aside from chainsaws, all of Makita's outdoor power equipment is 4-cycle - so there's no mixing oil and the machines are quite a bit quieter than their 2-cycle counterparts. Gear up for Spring and save some big bucks in the process.

Until next time - good cutting,
