He started building his collection of logging images in 1976 when he went to the woods to rig pull-trees for a variety of logging operations. High Climbers and Timber Fallers captures the essence of the modern old growth industry from the latter 1970s up to the millennium. It's a final record of what the industry, as a whole, experienced during the change to second growth management.
