Average rating:
Only: $69.99

Not all holes are created equal. Some need to have straight sides while others may need various shapes and sizes. Sometimes deep holes are needed in places that seem difficult or impossible to access. This is exactly why The Hole Deal was designed and built. This commercial-grade posthole digger is superior to all others because it has a hinged leverage point that allows you to open and close the digger with minimal hand movement. Its unique design allows you to dig straight-sided holes of any diameter as deep as 5 feet with only 4" to 6" handle travel. Carbon steel blades for excellent edge retention and long life. Fiberglass handles. Overall length 59".

A Note from the Hole Deal Post Hole Digger Folks -
Thanks for contacting us at THE HOLE DEAL. The handles each have three holes. The holes allow the user to vary the position of the handle pivot higher or lower on the handles. The purpose of being able to move the handle pivot is to accommodate different digging conditions and needs. We ship the tools with the pivot fastened in the middle position because this is the position that corresponds to most digging conditions. If the user is digging in firmer soils that may require more pressure to close the blades on the soil to hold and remove it from the hole we recommend lowering the handle pivot to the lower position on the handles. This will increase the leverage and power to the blades and make closing the handles together easier. The drawback to having the pivot in the lower handle position is that the handle grips will have to be moved over a slightly longer range to open and close the blades. The lower position is also useful if the user finds his or herself needing to remove a lot of rocks or stones from the holes. This usually requires using additional pressure to ensure that the rocks do not slip from the blades and fall back into the hole. Less pressure, and thus, less fatigue is required when the lower pivot position is used in this situation. The highest pivot position is seldom used. The pivot is moved to this position after handle extensions have been added to the handles making the tool over seven feet long. This is for digging holes as deep as six or seven feet deep. This is not a common need. Although we do carry handle exensions as an add on we rarely have a request for this item. I hope this information is of help to you. If you have any more questions or comments please do not hesitate to contact us again. - Jeff Vaughter THE HOLE DEAL
