|Q.||Hello, my Stihl 034 currently runs a 3/8-7T rim sproket with a 16" windsor bar. I believe that the guage is .050 but will confirm this before order. I am looking to upgrde the bar since thre is a lot of good life left in the saw but not sure if the 20" bar is the optimum size for it. I would appreciate some advise on what you would recommend the optimum bar size and gauge for my current rim sproket. This is occational use, 12-30" diameter oak, swamp elm, mostly for fire wood. Thank you.|
|A.||Your Stihl 034 is a spry saw, but maybe it is getting a bit old. It should run up to a 24" bar. I'd suggest 20" would be just fine to give you that extra reach. No need to change the rim drive unless you wanted to freshen that up at the same time.|
